About Red Maple Doodles

Welcome to Red Maple Doodles. My name is Lisa and we are a small, in-home breeder that is conveniently located within the Lower Mainland - one hour east of downtown Vancouver, BC.

Our goal is to raise the best mini to medium sized Goldendoodle & Cavapoo puppies you have ever met!  We raise our puppies as a family - the kids name them, help with socialization, snuggles, cuddles and love - my husband and I do the rest with the help of my very active mom too.

Testimonials from Loving Dog Parents

"What a gift it's been to our family that we "discovered" Red Maple Doodles online and so found the perfect place for us to get our new family member. We feel so lucky to have a puppy who was born of two beautiful gentle dogs into a household of love and nurturing care.

I've enjoyed every chance I've had to observe your generous spirit and your loving kindness towards your family, your dogs and the families who come to you for their puppy.

I realize what a privilege it's been to get to know you all over the last eight weeks, and to spend time relaxing with the puppies and learning from you how to handle them so they grow and learn happily. It's been wonderful!"

  • What is the difference between an F1 & an F1b?
F1's here at Red Maple Doodles are a result of a purebred Golden Retriever mom and a smaller Poodle dad. Because our stud boys are small we tend to get puppies that are in the 25-45 pound range but can vary depending on which mom we use and which genetics it picks up on. The coat type of our F1's is that adorable teddy bear, just got out of bed, looking fur. The coat type and personalities within an F1 litter tend to be rather consistent and typically take after the Golden Retriever. f1b's here at Red Maple Doodles are a result of an F1 Goldendoodle mom and a different smaller Poodle dad. f1b puppies tend to be in the 15-50 pound range but can vary depending on which mom and the genetics the puppy picks up on. Some of our f1b puppies can be up to 40 pounds and as small as 15 in the exact same litter. Most of our f1b's are darker red, curly to a loose curly coat and smaller than in F1 because it has been bred down in size twice. Please visit our Coat Type tab page for more info and examples of different looks & coat types.
  • How do I get on the General Wait List?
Once you have had an in depth read through our website then the next step is to fill out an application. Due to the overwhelming volume of applications our response time has been extended. We anticipate getting in touch to set up an extensive phone interview within a week of your application, to get to know you, learn more about your family, previous dog experience and living situation. If we determine we are a good fit for one another then you will be invited to place a non-refundable puppy deposit and you will be put on the General Wait List, which means you will now be waiting for your puppy. When a litter is born we will then take names from those families on our General Wait List, so you will then be securing a spot for that specific litter. Once your puppy has been picked at 7 weeks of age your balance is due. Please ensure that you are ready for a puppy prior to placing a puppy deposit as it is valid for 18 months. We are very pleased to work with our families if you are wanting to extend your wait time to a maximum of 24 months but this must be agreed to by both the breeder and the family, prior to the 18 month cut off. We strive to have a current wait list with active families that are excited and engaged, in order to give new families a better idea of how long it will be before they get a puppy.
  • How Much Do your Doodles Cost?
We are one of the top Goldendoodle/Cavadoodle breeders in Canada and have a long standing reputation of excellence. When you are added to our General Wait List your spot is held by your deposit and your price is guaranteed when you join us. Please feel free to contact us for current pricing.
  • How Long is the Wait List?
As of August 2023 we anticipate an approximate wait time of available now to 6 month for an F1, 6 month wait for an f1b & available now to 4 months for a Cavapoo. Many factors are involved in actual wait times and are discussed during your phone interview. In rare situations if we do have any puppies looking for their forever home we will first work with our families on our General Wait List and then they will be posted on the Available Now page, so check back frequently, so you don't miss out!
  • How Long Have you Been Breeding For?
Well, I have wanted to be a breeder since I was 7 years old. I have always been that "dog person", have owned many different breeds in my life and have been breeding for 10 years now. We have exclusively bred F1 & f1b Goldendoodles and now are breeding Cavadoodles, which we are very excited about!!
  • What Size Range of Cavapoos Do You Breed?
We will have F1 Cavapoos in the 15-20 pound range, 20-30 and 25-35 pounds. It all depends on the size of our Poodle mama we use in each breeding. Please also visit our Cava moms tab to see our beautiful girls!!
